Carol Woods To Fight For Winnable Target Seat12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 28th Jul 2006 Councillor Carol Woods has been selected to fight for a Liberal Democrat Durham City seat in the next general election. Councillor Woods, who slashed Labour's majority to just 3,000 in 2005 said: "I am delighted to have been chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate again. "The successes of the Lib Dem run City Council prove we are capable of winning here and making a difference to local people.
"Thanks to the tremendous support we received at the last election, the Durham City seat is now marginal and very winnable."
