Nykoma Garry (24) is originally from Dunfermline, and came to Dundee 5 years ago to study at University. She has since made Dundee her home with her fiancé and their young son. Nykoma has always been a people person and interested in issues that people care about. Prior to starting her training to become a nurse, Nykoma was Vice President of the Student Council at Dunfermline's Lauder College whilst studying there. As a nursing student Nykoma has taken a deep involvement with health care issues in particular, and has been elected as one of the two Scottish representatives to the Royal College of Nursing's Students' Executive. White health care is a specific interest of hers, Nykoma also takes an interest in every area of concern to Dundee and the wider community, which has prompted her to take an active role in politics. When she makes time to relax, Nykoma likes to spend time with her family, read books, and follow her favourite sport, rugby
